Percy Allwood BVetMed MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Percy has been with the practice for more than 40 years having graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 1971! From a farming background in Cheshire, Percy then came straight to work in Shropshire and has been here ever since. He has embraced all aspects of mixed work, in particular farm animals, but is now mostly found on our farms TB testing. Whilst on his travels in the countryside, he thoroughly enjoys photography.

Ann Zollman BVSc MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Ann qualified from Liverpool in 1990 and worked in mixed practice in Birmingham, Cheshire and Lancashire before joining us here in 2000. Ann enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, especially surgery.
Sarah Davies BVetMed MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Qualifying in 2011 from The Royal Veterinary College, Sarah returned back home to Shropshire to work as a Veterinary assistant here, where she had spend a lot of time seeing practise as a student. She has a particular interest in Farm Animal reproduction and herd/flock health along with Small Animal soft tissue surgery and ultrasound. Sarah enjoys creating a bond with clients and their animals. At home she enjoys spending time with her husband Nick helping on the farm with their Pedigree Hereford herd and flock of commercial sheep. They have two young children Robbie and Pippa who also keep them busy. Sarah owns a terrier, Ted, who may accompany her on calls occasionally, he was born by caesarean at the practice!
Elliott Clifton BVSc MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Elliott is Shropshire-born and has been with the team since 2016 after having graduated from Bristol University in 2015. Having worked at a local mixed vets and an equine practice, he has now settled into mixed animal work here in Bishops Castle. Elliott is interested in all species, especially large animals and particularly likes reproductive imaging, preventative health and welfare, and surgery of all kinds. Outside of work, showing horses is a keen hobby as well as socialising!
Nigel Dodman BVSc MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Nigel has lived in Mid Wales for 40 years and has been working for the practice part-time for 27 years, alongside his own Equine Practice based in Radnorshire. Prior to that he worked in Montgomery and lectured in Animal Health and Welfare at Harper Adams College. He has worked in Australia, New Zealand and the USA. He has qualified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Bowen Therapy and also practises homeopathy and herbal medicine.
Bill Adams BVM&S MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon
Bill owned his own veterinary practice in Hanwood, Shropshire for a number of years before joining us in 2007 to carry out TB testing.
Jemma Morgan VN
Jemma has been a valuable member of the team since 2005. Involved in all aspects of the practice including nursing and reception, she can often be found out on farm helping with TB testing and other on-farm procedures. Jemma has her own flock of sheep and also manages to help out on the family farm so is pretty busy come lambing time!
Jess Jones – RVN
Jess qualified from Rodbaston College as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and has worked at the practice since 2010. Jess particularly enjoys radiography and medical cases. Outside of work Jess thoroughly enjoys outdoor activities on and around the family farm with her clan of spaniels.
Chloe Griffiths – RVN
Chloe joined the team in April 2018 and is a Registered Veterinary Nurse. After graduating from Hartbury college in October 2017, Chloe has worked at a veterinary practice in Shrewsbury. Chloe particularly enjoys taking care of hospitalised inpatients, anaesthesia and post-operative management.In free time, Chloe enjoys walking her dogs Bruce and Meg and exploring the countryside. Chloe is looking forward to meeting our clients and their pets.
Sally joined us from Matheson and Gillett as a veterinary nurse/receptionist. She continued her training to gain her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification at Holme Lacy College. She has a great depth of knowledge into how the practice works, knowing most of the clients and will put her hands to anything! Her main interests are horses and in her spare time you used to find her riding her horse. More recently however, she has taken to the more sedate life, walking her dog Elan who sometimes joins her in the practice.
Sheila has worked for the vets a long time and seen a lot of changes over the years as well as met some lovely clients who always manage to keep her going with their sense of humour! Sheila is keen on gardening and attending the local W.I. Her three grandchildren keep her busy when not at work. Sheila is soon to retire from veterinary life.
Celia has been a long-standing member of the administrative team here. Having farmed for many years in the area, she therefore has a breadth of local farming knowledge. Celia deals with reception and organises the practice TB work. Celia is a keen baker and so everyone enjoys a Friday when some goodies come in!
